Third grade has been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Students even made chocolates in their classroom and gave everyone in the school a Golden Ticket to collect a sweet treat. Last week they were able to take a field trip to a chocolate factory! Wilbur’s of Maine in Freeport gave students a presentation on chocolate, including where it is grown and how it is harvested. Students also got to peer through the windows of their factory to see chocolates being made!
There were chocolate covered blueberries and lots of varieties of bunnies in production for the upcoming Easter holiday! This week 3rd grade will have an open house to show their parents all they have learned. I hear they will have a chocolate fountain to dip treats in, Lickable Wallpaper and Fizzy Lifting Drink!
